Is the internet is still exploding in revenues despite financial crisis?
Well,first lets look at some of the businesses available on the internet and in conclusion I will tell you one internet that is not and will never be affected by whatever crisis.
 The internet community is worth over $1trillion daily in revenues and hits.
Once in a lifetime, humanity is presented with golden opportunity to make history and leave a sustainable legacy as its contribution to the development of the universe, and above all, as a reference point to the fountain of knowledge.

 The internet community today has grown beyond human expectation and calculation perhaps.
What used to be a multi-billion dollar society, is now a multi-trillion dollar world: all thanks to
E-commerce and all its branches like;
Forex,
Online stocks trading,
Copywriting,
Outsourcing,
Internet  consulting,
Online advertising and generally;
Information.

Lets see some of the above stated, and see how they have sky rocketed this once all- new invention(the internet) to a world of its own.

Forex  online trading
  This is perhaps the most prosperous of all.
Foreign Exchange(Forex) is the online trading of major world currencies, also included are stock exchanges and metals.

 This is your normal buying and selling of stocks; except that here, tradings are done over the internet. An account is opened online with a broker then stocks can be bought with a credit card and other acceptable internet means of payment-which we will be discussing later. These stocks can also offloaded(sold) the same way they were bought.
A bank account may be needed. There are variations in online stocks trading like; means of payment, process of trading, these variations depend on the stocks exchange floor you want to trade on. Its actually quite easy to trade shares over the internet.

  Copywriting is the preparation of articles meant to endear people to a particular firm, or any good, service offered by such firm.
More like an essay about a company or about a good or service or promo being run by the company.
This has increased the capital of the electronic commerce world.

Outsourcing
 Outsourcing is the loaning out of work to other people for a fee. The people the work is being given to  are paid. This way, ecommerce apart from increasing in revenue, also has enriched the skill base of a lot of ecommerce subscribers(people).

Internet  consulting
 This is your normal consulting activity except that this time, the meeting point is the internet. Under this, trainings on information packages are available. Like going to an institute for training on a particular course- but in this case trainings are online- also, advisory services are got here.

Online advertising
 Advertising over the internet has grown over the years and more revenue is pumping in from this corner.
You might have come across advertising like; PPCs, Banners, Adverts with Audio and Video files.
All this are what has helped the world of  internet to advance far beyond its age.
N:B Now even if the world plunges into a severe financial crisis or some other crisis that would affect the way people spend money so severely, these crisis, their causes, the damages they have caused, likely way out and every deliberation that have already taken place because of it, will still be advertised for people to know(be informed). So advertising will keep on earning money for the online community.

Information (this one internet business, will never be affected by any crisis)
 Information and information products like; ebooks, online courses an trainings, CDs, DVDs, newsletters are perhaps the second biggest money spinners today churning out over $1billion annually.
And you know what?, No matter what happens, you will still need more knowledge, even if there is a global financial crisis, come to think it, you will still need information packs to learn more about it and how it affects you and how you swim your way through
